Step into the spotlight of the film and television industry with the exclusive Collaborative Workforce Training program, proudly presented by Production Assistants Unlimited and Filmscape Chicago, in partnership with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. This innovative program is designed to provide a comprehensive foundation for aspiring production assistants, offering a dynamic curriculum spread across 120 hours over three weeks.
As spaces are limited, admission to this program is application-based, catering to individuals actively pursuing opportunities within the film and television sector. Priority consideration will be given to students available for immediate employment upon completing the course. This workshop serves as a thorough overview of the production assistant role, covering not only the nuances of set and office responsibilities but also delving into the intricacies of each department.
Classes are scheduled from 9 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday, running from February 5 to February 21, at the esteemed CineCity Studios located at 1414 S Western Ave. To facilitate a conducive learning environment, lunch will be provided for students attending the program. Additionally, a gear stipend will be extended to students upon successful completion, allowing them to invest in equipment for future production work.

Our story begins in 2016 when we first formed the facebook group, Chicago Production Assistants. The mission was to provide a platform where production assistants and film enthusiasts could come toegther to network, create, hire, and find work within the industry. It was the first of its kind on Facebook then and now we're expanding.
We are so excited to announce the launch of Production Assistance Unlimited, a film training business that empowers production assistants to reach their highest potential. Our mission is to provide trainees with the skills, knowledge, and tools they need to become successful film professionals. We offer a variety of resources, courses, and workshops led by experienced professionals who have worked in the field for many years. We believe that with the right guidance and support there is no limit to what you can achieve. We want to help our trainees reach their full potential. From pre-production to post-production, our courses cover all aspects of the filmmaking process from the persepective of a production assistant. We also provide hands-on experience with job specific exercises, equipment, and software. Our experienced instructors are always available to answer questions, provide feedback and offer guidance and support. We strive to create a learning environment that is both fun and educational. We are also constantly exploring new ways to provide our trainees with the best possible learning experience.
